WPR is short for World Pickleball Rankings, not a new name for your DUPR rating. The PPA Tour introduced the system for the 2026-27 season to combine results across disciplines. A place on its leaderboard and a recreational playing rating tell you different things. Read the original PPA announcement.
WPR, DUPR and IQ: three different numbers
- WPR
- Your position on the PPA Tour's professional leaderboard, based on tournament points.
- DUPR
- A match-based playing rating, from 2.000 to 8.000, with separate singles and doubles ratings.
- Pickleball IQ
- Your decision-knowledge result on this site, calculated from the questions you answer.
The official WPR FAQ identifies WPR as a professional ranking and describes Amateur Pickleball Rankings (APR) as a separate system. You do not need a WPR to take our test. For DUPR's match-based method and reliability information, see DUPR's own explanation.
How WPR points are calculated
The composite gives gender doubles a 50 percent weight, mixed doubles 35 percent, and singles 15 percent. The PPA Tour's calculation guide specifies a rolling 52-week window and the best 14 results in each discipline, with the World Championships and the other three Majors mandatory. A discipline-specific Current Seed is a separate number.
Once the eligible discipline totals are established, the weighted calculation is: 0.50 × doubles points + 0.35 × mixed points + 0.15 × singles points.
For illustration only, totals of 1,000 doubles points, 600 mixed points and 400 singles points would produce 770 composite points: 500 + 210 + 60. That does not mean No. 770 in the world. Ranking position depends on the other players' totals on the relevant leaderboard. Use the official standings for your actual position.
Can you convert WPR into DUPR?
We do not offer a conversion. A leaderboard position is not a playing-rating scale, and an IQ quiz cannot supply the missing match evidence. Keeping these numbers together is useful context for a conversation with a coach; subtracting one from another would not tell you what to practice.
Add yours beside your test result
Enter your DUPR doubles rating and, if you are listed, your WPR leaderboard and position. Both are optional. WPR is labelled self-reported, not verified or synced. It stays with your assessment on this device and appears in notes you choose to share; neither entry changes your IQ score.

Pickleball IQ complements DUPR and UTR-P; it is not a playing rating or a PPA ranking. See how our IQ scoring works.
