About Pickleball IQ

Before you start

Can I take the test again?

Yes. Each 20-question round draws from more than 300 questions and favors ones you haven't answered here. Some may repeat to match the skill and difficulty. Each completed result is saved separately on this browser.

What is pickleball IQ?

Pickleball IQ means understanding what to notice and which choice fits a point: shot selection, positioning, partner coverage, rules and score. Our free test samples that decision-making knowledge. It does not measure shot execution. Read the pickleball IQ guide.

What does my Pickleball IQ score mean?

The quick and full tests use an 80-160 scale. A score of 131 falls in the Strong band on this site's test scale. It is not a percentile, conventional IQ score or playing rating. Pickleball IQ complements DUPR. See the scale and calculation.

What will I get at the end?

Your Pickleball IQ score, a breakdown of the skills sampled, and explanations of your answers. You'll also get rally patterns to explore and notes you can share with a coach. The quick test is a snapshot; the full assessment covers eight skills in more depth.

Will this help me make better decisions in a game?

The aim is to build your understanding of what to notice and why a choice makes sense. Reaction IQ adds a time constraint; on-court practice adds movement, execution and a live opponent. A higher quiz score alone does not prove better match decisions. Use all three, and ask a partner or coach to watch what changes.

Does this measure how well I play?

It checks decisions in the situations you see. It cannot measure your shot execution or establish why you win or lose points. Pickleball IQ complements DUPR; it is not a playing rating. How scoring works.

Can I share this with my coach?

Yes. Your lesson brief includes the suggested pattern and relevant answers. Coaches can also choose a pattern and curate questions for your next lesson. Nothing is sent to a coach automatically.

Add playing experience, DUPR or WPR (optional)

Keep your playing history beside your result. It stays on this device and does not change your IQ score. Peer rankings are not available yet.

Keep it beside your result for context. This test does not calculate or change your DUPR.

Your WPR pro ranking

For players listed in the PPA Tour's World Pickleball Rankings. No WPR? Leave both fields blank. This is a ranking position, not a rating like 3.5.

Entered WPR is self-reported and stays on this device unless you share your notes. Neither number changes your IQ score.
